A charity event that has raised 328 thousand pounds since 2015, will return to Warwick in September.
The Brain Tumour Charity will hold a 10 kilometre Twilight Walk which hundreds of people are expected to take part in – it starts and ends at Warwick School.
The event will take place on 29th September and it’s the fifth year its been held.

A stall at this year’s Coventry Pride event’s raised more than 500 pounds for charity.
The city’s Labour LGBTQ plus group generated the cash by inviting festival-goers to play games and try win prizes.
They’ve thanked those who took part for their donations – with the funds going to Coventry Foodbank and the charity who ran June’s event.

The Coventry Labour LGBTQ plus group generated the funds through games and prizes at their stall during June’s festival.

In Lichfield, an outdoor cafe’s been granted permission to serve alcohol with meals – despite concerns it’s just metres from a children’s play area.
Lakeside Bistro in Beacon Park will serve beer and wine in plastic cups instead of glass to combat safety concerns.
If drunken behaviour happens around youngsters, bosses of the venue have assured the community they have a close relationship wiith the park rangers and police will be called.

A man from Bedworth’s been jailed after being convicted of racial abuse and criminal damage.
In February, Marc Halford threw eggs at a local couple’s car whilst racially harrassing them.
The 38 year old Newtown Road resident was serving a suspended sentence for another crime at the time so has been sentenced to 6 weeks behind bars and fined nearly 13 hundred pounds.

A Bedworth man’s been sent to prison for racist abuse and criminal damage.
Marc Halford was found guilty of racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress in connection with the incident in February – where he also threw eggs at the couple’s car.
The 38 year old of Newtown Road was jailed for 6 weeks as he’s currently on a suspended sentence for another crime – and was also fined nearly 13 hundred pounds.

Coventry City Council have given a homeless man a job and somewhere to live after their decision to fine him caused public backlash.
Gary Cannop was reading a book in an alleyway off Smithford Way last Tuesday when he was given a penalty for begging.
A post about it on social media went viral – the authority has retracted the fine and given him work cleaning the local precinct.

A plan’s been submitted for new student housing on the outskirts of Coventry.
Developers want to build 5 blocks at The Oaks at Westwood Business Park with room for nearly 650 beds.
They’ve already had planning permission given for an adjacent site, meaning a thousand students could be housed there if this new proposal is approved.
