Featured below: BBC Coventry & Warwickshire sent me out daily to gather Vox Pops in the City of Coventry. After I spoke with at least 10 people/groups of people, I then utilised the dira! Startrack audio editing software to edit and produce my radio packages. My Vox Pops that I put together were about Coventry’s Brand, Brexit, and Reality Television. All three radio packages that I produced were played out on the BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Morning Breakfast show and Drive Time show.
Coventry’s Brand Vox Pops
Journalism coordinator Bron Mills gave me an assignment to go out and talk to the people who live in the Coventry area. Our objective was to find out what Coventry’s brand was, so I asked the question “if I say Coventry, what do you say?” After gathering the Vox Pops and editing them on dira! Startrack, Bron had one of our colleagues create a remix version with the audio clips that produced.

There are more reports out this morning describing the death of our High Streets.
Lots of things are being blamed – out-of-town shopping, online shopping, Brexit..you name it!
We’re told that we need to think of our cities as tourist destinations rather than a shopping centre.
So… as the only American in the office we sent Jessica Quinlan off to ask what people thought Coventry is known for….
Brexit Vox Pops
Here lately with the controversial discussions on Brexit, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been criticised with how he has been handling the Brexit situation. Therefore, my editor sent me out into the City of Coventry to ask the question, “if you could give one piece of advice to Prime Minister Boris Johnson what would that be?”

Reality Television Vox Pops
An investigation is underway after the Jeremy Kyle show was cancelled, because of the suicidal death of Steve Dymond. Furthermore, this has sparked a controversy in Reality Television shows around mental health and whether or not Reality Television shows are providing enough support for their celebrity stars after they leave the show.
Therefore, my editor sent me into the City of Coventry to find out what the people of Coventry’s thoughts were on this matter.
After recording the Vox Pops, I put together three different versions for BBC to play out.
